About CPD?

The primary objective of the European Aeronautics Science Network Association is the advancement of the aviation science and technology. In this context, EASN strongly supports and participates in activities targeting to incubate new knowledge, technological innovation and breakthrough technologies. In parallel, the Association also aims at organizing activities that contribute to the technology transfer of scientific knowledge.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities, being useful to professionals looking to enhance existing skills, or keeping abreast of current thinking without the commitment to full-time education, enables the aims of EASN Association and works in tandem with its existing activities and partnerships.

CPD activities is a series of affordable, current and industry relevant training and educational courses across a range of subject areas aligned to edge research of high industrial and academic significance provided be the European Aeronautics Science Network in close co-operation with highly skilled professionals. Each course is offered to a strictly limited number of participants so as to make a condensed and intensive course manageable and at same time ensure interaction between the trainers and the attendees and an in-depth understanding of the matter of the course.

The organization of the EASN CPD Programme is strongly supported by EASN Technology Innovation Services, which is contractually linked to the Association and acts as its permanent secretary.

Who should attend?

This first CPD activity is addressed to professionals, industrialists, as well as PhD students from inside and outside Europe. It is focused on aspects related to all-electric and hybrid-electric propulsion systems and components including electric based flow control systems and their integration. The course will also discuss challenges related to the electrification of transport aircraft and its impact.
